About the Zine

Goldenrod is a fic-centric Genshin fanzine focusing on Childe and Zhongli’s romantic relationship. The zine is Tartali (Childe/Zhongli) only, and will feature written works and accompanying artwork with writers and page artists working together in pairs.

What is a zine?
A zine, short for fanzine, is a compilation of artwork and written works made by fans. They’re similar to an artbook or collaborative anthology.Where can I buy the zine?
You can purchase a digital copy of Goldenrod from our online store!
Unfortunately, preorders for physical copies have closed and we are now in our production and fulfillment period. Leftover sales will open in a few months if we have remaining stock!What are the zine specs?
This is a SFW 6x9" physical and digital zine, ~150 pages, printed in full color.
✦ 10 writers, 10 page artists, 4 merch artistsHow will contributors be compensated?
All contributors will receive a digital copy of the zine at minimum. Depending on preorders, we aim to provide all contributors with a full bundle of the zine inclusive of the zine itself, all available merch items, all stretch goals, and shipping.Preorder funds will mainly go towards production of the zine and merch. The remaining funds will be distributed among the mods and all contributors evenly.What are contributors expected to create?

Other characters are welcome as side characters, but since the main focus of this zine is Childe/Zhongli, other explicit ships will not be allowed.Will this zine include AUs?
Yes, both AUs and canon-compliant content are welcome!Why 6x9in and not a larger size?
We went with 6x9in for Goldenrod because it’s an optimal size for books dense with text, ensuring an enjoyable reading experience as well as a pleasing page layout.Who is allowed to apply?
Anyone aged 16 and above by April 5th, 2022 will be able to participate in the zine. Contributors under the age of 18 should have the approval of a guardian and can be paid through a guardian's PayPal.Do I need to have zine experience to apply?
No experience is needed to apply! The mods are happy to welcome those new to zines, and have plenty of experience to help contributors in every step of the process.Will my ship and content preferences affect my chances of acceptance?
Applicants will not be rejected based on their personal ship and content preferences.Can I still apply if I like Zhongchi more than Tartali, or only have Zhongchi samples?
Applicants that prefer Zhongchi are welcome to apply, and may apply with samples that include Zhongchi as long as the piece created for the zine is Tartali.Can I apply for more than one position?
Yes, though you will only be selected for one position.Will I get an email even if I’m rejected?
